Chelsea Begay
Program Assistant
Chelsea Begay is a member of the Dine’ (Navajo) tribe originally from Dilkon, Arizona which is located on the Navajo Nation. She is of the Ashiihi (Salt) clan and born for Naashte’zhi’ Tahaaha’ (Zuni Edgewater) clan. She graduated from Fort Lewis College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Services. Since Chelsea has graduated in 2013, she has worked as a mental health counselor in integrated health services, a program support coordinator focusing on suicide prevention with a native non-profit organization located in Northern Arizona, as a social worker in child protective services with the Division of Family Services on the Navajo Nation and has provided freelance/consultation work for Tribal Law and Policy Institute in recent years.
